RATES AND PRICING

HOW MUCH DO YOU CHARGE?

at my home shop slouch in asheville nc, i charge a sliding scale of $150-$200/hour. when traveling i charge $200/hr. generally my tattoos take 1-3 hours, but can take longer depending on the size, placement and design. on the day of your appointment, i will give you an estimated time of how long your tattoo will take, based on the decisions we make for size and placement. if we go over this time, i will only charge for the time estimated. if you are working within a budget, let me know ahead of time and we can discuss options for staying within that budget.

draw time for customs are included in my hourly rate. this means that custom designs will be an additional $50-$200, depending on how long it takes to draw your design. once i have sent you your design, we can make minor changes up to three times. if you are still not satisfied with your design, we can discuss if it still feels like a good match to work together and if so, each redraw will be an additional $50.


DO YOU OFFER A DISCOUNT?

yes! when i am traveling i offer a 25% community discount (see below). this discount cannot be combined with sliding scale.

WHO IS THIS DISCOUNT FOR?

this discount is especially for you if you are black, indigenous, a person of color, low-income / negatively impacted by our unjust economic system and/or are trans and queer bipoc.

who is this discount not for?

this discount is NOT for you if you have disposable income, generational wealth, have a financial safety net or a salaried income, do not stress to meet your basic needs (food, housing, medical care) or are not currently exercising your earning power by choice.

i am a queer, white, cisgender, able-bodied artist without a college degree and rely solely on myself and my art to support me financially.


deposits

appointments require a $75 non-refundable deposit that go toward the final cost of your tattoo and is paid when you choose your design. if you need to re-schedule, i will transfer your deposit to the new date as long as it is within two weeks of the original date (please note, this may not be possible when i am traveling).


payment

at the conclusion of your appointment you may pay by cash or venmo.

DO YOU ACCEPT TIPS AND IS IT REQUIRED?

i do accept tips but they are certainly not required. if you enjoyed your time with me and would like to offer a monetary tip, this helps make it possible for me to discount my rate for other clients who do not have the same means. it also helps me to take time off, make it through slow seasons with more ease, and pay for healthcare + bodywork. if you do NOT have the means to tip, please do not feel obligated to!
